Never give up and keep going. One of my favorite quotes in life came from Sylvester Stallone’s movie character Rocky Balboa. “It’s not how hard you hit but how how hard you get hit and keep moving forward. How much you can take and keep moving forward.” It’s the good and successful moments in life that help create the drive for more moments with positive reinforcements.
Doing the same consistent daily routines in life won’t get you a different result if you’re looking for something more. To help others and our community, you have to change your perspective on how to go about doing it. Search for ways to engage and help in even the smallest issues. Get creative in doing so and make friends as well as long lasting relationships along the way. Its truly inspirational and does definitely help bring people together.
Gennext brainstorms and reaches out to local agencies and groups to develop and put forth ways to get United Way‘s word out as well as its focus on several of its major goals. We have yearly traditions towards several community involved activities and projects. Our team recently helped in assembling Welcome Home kits, which help provide the basic household products to those individuals and families that are in the transitioning phase from living in a shelter to permanent housing. After the kits are assembled they are delivered to those in need of them. Even the simpler tasks such as this help go a long way and make a big impact on lives. To reach out a helping hand towards those in need of it does sometimes feel like you receive much more in return.
